My home set consists of 10 $500s, 10 $100s, 20 $25s, 90 $5s and 170 $1.00s for a total of 300 chips. Incidentally I use the old Nevada Lodge chips and recommend considering using chips from a real casino. If you do your chips will go up in value over the years. Also, I don't really "need" the higher values, I just have them cause I enjoy them. Hope this helps.
