Hi Pete,
I will try to give you my top ten ignoring any/all aspects NOT related to chips. Order or ranking does not mean anything. My 10th choice is just as important as my 1st choice. Those who are not listed would most likely be my 2nd or 3rd 10 names. The list is a reflection of my interests and subjective choices. I mean no insult or slight to those who do not appear here.
1) Myers, Wheeleden & Knapp - Treated as one for their excellent work involving the Gaming Table.
2) Doug Saito - For publishing the "Chip Chat" WITH the historical research articles.
3) Harvey Fuller - For his work involving "Index of Nevada Gaming Establishments".
4) Dale Seymour - For his work involving Antique Gaming Chips.
5) Archie Black - For the definitive work involving Atalantic City chips.
6) Howard & Kregg Herz - For being one of the early pioneers of the hobby and for continuing to give to the hobby.
7) Phil Jensen - For preserving the "History" behind many of the one of a kind chips he obtained.
8) Bob Mathews (RIP) - For being the Great "ambassador" of our hobby.
9) Walter Dirzulaitis - For being the single best source of information involving ANY chip from ANYWHERE.
10) Janice & Jerry O'Neal - For ALWAYS having time to share with anyone who has an interest in our hobby.
Well there you have it. As Archie stated earlier it was not easy. I hope I did not hurt anyones feelings. Trust me, you would have appeared in the next ten. The next ten would really be no less important than the 10 I listed. Best, Jim
