But these chips don't profess that this was the first HAN of the (new) millennium, or the last HAN of the (old) millennium. 2000 can rightly be called the "millennium year" in that it's the first year of the 2000's (Y2K) and the last year of the second millennium. A chip that proclaims 2000 to be the millennium year isn't technically incorrect. I do, however seem to recall some casinos explicitly *wrongly* calling 1/1/2000 the beginning of the third millennium. Not that I would name names. Unless of course you now have some revisionist theory of what "first chip of the millennium" means.
