I'm told this 1 Escudo piece came from a private club to the north of Estoril by the name of Club Atlantico. I received it as a gift from a very well-known person several years ago who was in the casino business in Portugal. His notes were that the club was closed in 1927 after 25-Summer seasons catered to the British. It's hand engraved, 33mm and once had a 1mm gold pigmented ring on the edge.
