I am NOT a member of the ANA. Should I be forced into joining IT because I am a member of our National Club? It is not manditory. Why? Because ANA does not require it. Is that any different from what was just changed in our club? I am the President of the Great Lakes Chapter of the CC>CC & I like the change.
It is our freedom to voice an opinion, BUT to force onto someone else is a shame. What did John Yee do that was so offending? Is there a problem here if he repeats something? I was personally notified by a board member, in writting a couple of days after the meeting on the change of by-laws. I also like the idea that you do not have to be a member of the national for a couple of reasons. There may be some reasons that I am not aware of that would cause me to reconsider.
As adults, which most of us are, we are given a special gift, that is being able to reason. If there is a problem, those can be worked out. Can we ever make EVERYONE happy, NO, but we aim to do what's best, but sometimes we miss. At that point, we will try to aim again. Please be considerate of others instead of just ourselves.
