Re: I HAVE AN OPINION ON A LOT OF THINGS...

which ultimately contributed to my divorce. But as to eBay's criminal liability, I wouldn't spend much effort agonizing about it. A person who knowingly buys stolen property violates laws in every U.S. jurisdiction. The key word is "knowingly." If I buy a roulette from Greg do I know that it is "stolen" merchandise. <g> That depends. If I buy from him after I know he is going with his criminal buddies on a casino harvesting run then, "yes" a jury could find that I purchased the "R" chip with knowledge it had been stolen, at least if we were all in Nevada. But R chips can be legally possessed as when a casino terminates the chips and disposes of them by sale or gift.

As you read this keep in mind that I have always been of the opinion that taking roulette chips from a table w/o permission is a technical theft. The fact that I possess chips I know to have been taken illegally doesn't change my opinion of legality.

And finally, I agree that a DA is not going to waste her time and resources prosecuting the likes of Greg and his harvesters or me his trader and buyer source.
