Josh,
It appears you are correct that they are going to replace the $500 chips due to the inserts looking too much like the $100 chips.
When they are mixed together - it is very difficult to tell there are 2 different chips in the pile.
Now - why would they mix the chips together in one pile is anyones guess....
I guess it must have happened and there was a problem if they are changing them!
