Limited availability. A very close study by several Florida collectors determined that not too much walked off the ship in its 30-day operation. Virtually everything was kept in the ship vault with the exception of a few $100 chips held by the owners. There are very few $2.50 chips known, of which some of that changed hands more than three times. There is only one $500 chip known. Recently some notched samples have been posted of the $1 chip. The pieces of which I have in inventory were purchased from gamblers who did not visit the cashier before leaving the boat. I was on the boat several times, but after gathering what I needed for trades at that time, I never kept additional pieces.
