Ahhh, the link tells the story. (it's much easier to form an opinion with the facts) You are 110% correct in your description and do not owe the guy ANYTHING, much less any sort of refund! He must have been asleep when he read the auction, if he read it at all. Your refund less costs is more than enough on this 'deal'. I really don't see how he could have missed understanding your description in CAPITAL LETTERS! I am also a bit perplexed at his perfect feedback as it shows no hint of any other 'problems'. (nore does yours) I certainly don't get his problem with the item. (buyers remorse maybe??)
Anyway, I would file for a refund on eBay charges and offer it to the second high bidder......at least that way it would work out about the same, money wise anyway.
As for feedback. I'd just let it go. If you leave anything less than positive for him, he surely will do the same (or worse for you)! If I recall for the most part he was an eBuyer, and you an eSeller. The feedback would be worse to the seller than the buyer, at least as I see it. If you give him a neutral he could fire off a negative in return! (and he still could anyway)
It's a game that must be played every day.
Now, I'm up to bat!
