Steve-
Please understand I am not saying I am opposed to either idea. I think they merit discussion. Belinda and I discussed both ideas this weekend.
A few things to consider regarding trading is past performance regarding trading abuse and how to handle it so it is fair for all. I'm sure it can be solved but I don't know the answer yet.
As for the seminars during show hours, I am not saying I am opposed. I guess I'm just playing "devils advocate" to get some ideas. One important issue that has been overlooked is that many of the educational panels involve dealers as panelist. Can they leave their tables? Also do the non-dealer panelist want to give up their time on the floor? I need to get input from the organizers and potential panelists before I can answer the question.
I would hope that in the next 30-60 days I can get some answers. Believe me whatever decision is made will be made public long before the Convention. I will gladly let everyone know what we intend to do and give the reasons we made the decision we did.
There have been a lot of ideas floated on this board this weekend. Many of them are obviously not doable, but there were several ideas that we already have discussed and are trying to see if we can implement them. Some of them may surprise everyone. Pleasantly I hope.
Thanks!
Wayne
