Hi Wayne,
VERY valid point about the extra burden on the Vols. but the idea of a "trading area" and meetings during bourse hours has to be resolved. I understand the dealers pay for tables to sell their wares BUT the convention is supposed to be for ALL members so these activities NEED to be allowed during these hours.
I suggest something like I saw at the ANA convention on Sat. There were a few (three I think) small round tables...NO CHAIRS....set up in the middle of the bourse. If something like this were set up on our bourse, the lack of chairs would prevent "squatting" by a cheapskate who wants to sell and not buy a table, would allow a quick trade between members to be accomplished without interfering with the dealers and not inconvenience the members who are making the trade AND, both dealers and other members alike can "police" the area by just scanning the area and if they see something going on that shouldn't be, the person or persons can be asked to stop by anyone in the area.
I also do not think a few meetings lasting less than 2 hours will put a dent in the dealers sales at all.
Just a thought...........
