I posted the following response:
I've been called a lot of things ...
... but

is about the most insulting so far.

Okay, Skip, I'll start by not pleasing you, I guess.
> ... give me some details.
In my previous post, I provided several specific position statements on issues of interest to the club. To reiterate briefly:
I oppose changing the name of the club.
I support creation of nation-wide specialty collector chapters.
I support greater interaction between the national club & the chapters.
I support more extensive use of club funds for promotional purposes.
I support the current annual convention.
I support the establishment of a smaller, mid-year convention at a location other than Las Vegas.
I support expansion of the club website to include more information.
I support the concept of making the club magazine available online.
I support submission of membership proposals by email.
I support the proposal to establish a permanent, physical home for the club.
I propose that the club become an eBay seller to conduct ongoing club auctions.
I support the club taking a more active role in enforcing ethical standards in the hobby.
I support the establishment of a set of CC>CC grading definitions for chips.
Even the club president, however, is only one vote in five when the board makes decisions on club matters, so I can say only what I support, as I cannot accomplish any of these things on my own. It is also impossible, at this time, to say with any greater degree of specificity how these things might be accomplished. A lot of work by a lot of people will still have to be done to realize any of these goals. Care to volunteer to help do so, Skip?
I will be posting position statements on other issues in the near future.
> Who else is running. What do they stand for.
Nate Pincus and Jim Steffner have also announced that they are running for club president. I'm sure they would be happy to answer any questions you have about their positions on any issue of interest to you.
> I don't know Archie Black ...
See my July 1999 ChipBox column on Chequers magazine for a biography of Archie.

That's fine. You should base your vote on whatever information makes you feel most comfortable about the candidate you decide to vote for.
Since you posted this on the least active of the chip collector bulletin boards, I am going to repost your message and my response on both the Club board and the ChipBoard.
