The lack of expertise excuse is just that, too. I have also volunteered to provide expert evaluation of chip auctions (either myself or by recruiting other experts). Ebay wasn't interested in that, either.

The long and the short of it is we have to do it ourselves. As I've said before, I'm not afraid to contact bidders directly.
