How about asking each local chapter to "sponsor" something that needs doing at the convention. For example since Jim Reilly and I have both already volunteered to help with a trader room, I'm sure we could get Nor-Cal-Nev chapter to take that on as a chapter project. Maybe another chapter could handle organizing the banquet. Another the set-up and tear-down of the dealer's room. There may be some cases, such as the auction, which seems to already be well-organized, where we'll want to leave it as it is and not have an individual chapter sponsor it.
This could be fun and individual chapters might try to show off their chapter a bit. How about a chip only given to banquet attendees which might include the name of the "sponsoring" chapter? (By the way I'm not suggesting the chapter would provide the money for the banquet or whatever, only organize it and provide the volunteers to make it happen.)
