I watched the entire fight and reran it several times. Ruiz was down a number of times, all ruled slips or pushes by Holyfield. Two of them were clearly real knock downs. The low blow time out was clearly, not a low blow. Steel miscalled both of them. I guess the judges did not miss them.
Two points subtracted from Ruiz would at best, give him a draw. Holyfield would get the best of any draw situation.
BTW, I am a huge fight fan. Ruiz would not last 3 rounds with any of the big names in the heavyweight division today. Holyfield has a history of "which Holyfield shows up" for a fight. The "not so focused Holyfield" showed up last night, but he clearly knocked Ruiz down twice.
I have always been a fan of Holyfield but I sincerly hope he never sets foot in a ring with Lewis, again. As far as a Holyfield/Tyson fight goes. Bet on Holyfield!!!!!
