I use Armor All Multi-Purpose Cleaner also to keep the chips from getting dried out but I quit using it for hot stamp chips. The Armor All appears to soften the foil hs. If your toothbrush should stray onto the stamping the foil coloring is very likely to come away. If you must use Armor All for HS chips, then just rub that area of the chip gently with your thumb and stop the instant you are satisfied with the cleaning. I have found no harmful effects to inlaid chips.
