I have some fond memories of the Desert Inn I was stationed at Nellis AFB in north Las Vegas in the early 70s and we were able to go to the Desert Inn and watch a live shoot. They would list dates in the newspaper on when the public was allowed,pretty neat to watch a live shoot. Robert Urich was a first class guy he would come and talk to the audience and sign autographs,also would see him and other cast members at Lake Mead quite often. I guess Steve Wynn will build another top shelf resort.
