I just returned from a great trip to England and Scotland. I had known that you have to apply for membership in the British casinos and then wait 24 hours before being admitted. I found a list of British casinos before I went. Chose a couple in London, a couple in Edinburgh, and a couple in Glasgow. I called them and each very promptly faxed me application forms. I faxed them back and by the time I got there--I was pre-approved for membership in each club. Some of the clubs/casinos were fancy; some were so dark and dingy--even in the bathroom there was not enough light to check on the condition of the chips in my pocket. I also learned that as a "member" I could bring 6 guests. If any of you get there and have not applied 24 hrs. earlier--you can probably easily find a member who will sign you in as a "guest" right on the spot. In every casino, the cage manager was helpful. They looked for new/better chips for me. At the Grosvenor Victoria Casino in London (formerly the Victoria Playboy Casino) the manager looked around and even gave me a couple of "chip holder keyrings". I have a number of British chips already on eBay and will be putting more on in the next couple of weeks. Some of them are really great chips! Look under: "Foreign Chips".
