The Trop is not my favorite hotel either; but my room was clean. If we return to the Trop next year and people want cheaper room rates, they should try the San Remo just next door within easy walking distance. As for the safe fee, Harrahs where I stay at has no safe; Venetian where I bedded down has a free safe but then for $169 a night it ought to be free; and in any event each hotel has to provide free safes at the front desk. Finally, as to the dark hall ways, I was too sleepy at day and night to notice. <g> I do think that the rooms at the Orleans are great for the price--but I prefer the strip so I can go to more casinos quickly and lose my money fast.

I'd love to see us back at the Aladdin but suspect that this #1.+ billion hotel would no longer give us a great deal and whatever the cost for the convention site, I'll bet rooms won't go for $49 either.
