If I had my druthers, I preferred the strip location to off strip. It was much easier to get places, the trams were convenient to the MGM or the Excalibur to go either way on the strip to catch casinos. The rooms were nice at the Trop and convenient for getting the chips down to the convention floor. We have stayed at both places. It looked like from your post that we would save money at the TROP. Plus I think there is more meeting room space at the TROP if we did need it. And,if what you said is true about the walk-ins, then the strip location is something you'd need to take a look at. Also, at night it is nice to have a choice of other casinos within walking distance if you want to go to hopping or harvesting.

I thought I had read earlier in the year on the BB we had committed to the Orleans for next year?? If not then it's worth some serious consideration.

Either way we will attend (this first time got us hooked), if at Orleans though, will probably stay on the strip.
