I agree a fee for the convention should also happen. Many conventions I attend for work have a staggered fee.
1. An all inclusive price for the full convention, includes all days and all events, swap nights and the dinner
2. One price for certain seminars only
3. One price for all of the exhibition/selling days
4. One price for the swap nights (at least this way you would know how many people are interested in swapping chips and all could be accomodated)
5. Then you have the optional some seminars and exhibit days
Just a different price structure for the convention. Different color badges dependent on what the convention attendee selected. It could be manageable once it has been done the first time. Just my 2 cents.
