Please excuse the questions I'm about to ask - I mean no offense, I'm just trying to understand where the problem is coming in...

Did you try double clicking on the pdf file itself?
Were you trying to reopen it in Netscape?
Or just trying to view it on the Netscape page you were just saving the file from?
