Pat & Paul:
I will be the first to nominate the both of you to help volunteer to head up next years last dance trade session. There is always room for improvement but I would not say that the trade show was not well attended or received. In fact, after I returned from dinner, there were nearly a dozen people still trading up to 12:30 a.m.
Although it would have been nice to have tables. I think that there were more than enough people to roll up their sleeves and move a few tables from one room to the other. Good to see people using their muscles and ingenuity to make it happen.
If it's not what YOU expected, then Wayne will be more than happy to have both of you coordinate the Last Dance trade session next year. I think that in the end, everything worked out, didn't it?
As for the OVER attendance at the reception, who could anticipate that there would be that many people? It just goes to show you how successful and well publicized the event turned out to be. I hope we will resolve that next year with a dinner reception. If people who will spend hundreds of dollars to attend the convention can't or WON'T spend $25 dollars for a reception it will give some of us a bit more elbow room at the reception.
Remember, if you want the convention to be better next year, volunteer your time.
