You're not confused, Archie. You're just against the club increasing dues and moving in a forward direction in order to preserve gaming history. I avoided your follow-up post in my response backing Jim's idea....I choose not to avoid this one. I still feel the club should get involved in discussing purchase of certain manufacturer's-distributor records where a per unit cost for ID would be far less for members than members having to pay the schedule Gene posted. If you feel my thinking is wrong, or if you're able to come up with a better plan as to how members are to gain control of certain manufacturer records which may become available...then please add to this thread. If you feel Jim's idea is not worthy of further discussion or that the club should not be interested in purchasing certain records that historians and collectors feel are important...then please state that, too. With all due respect to those who made this last convention possible, I would truly rather see $7000 of the clubs money go to education instead of an opem face turkey sandwich.
