I agree wholeheartedly with what you say. We have 2300 members and growing. With this many people it doesn't take much work from the members to do what we all want done IF most everyone will do their part. It's very disheartening to have 300 people complete a survey at the Convention and only 5 offer to volunteer to help the Club.
I have been very fortunate as Convention Chairman to have a small core of volunteers who give a tremendous amount of their time. If we had just 20 new volunteers then the current volunteers who work so hard could enjoy the Convention also. This same situation applies to the Club magazine, the Club auction, advertising and promotion, and certainly any new intiatives we want to undertake.
More people are going to have to step forward if this Club is going to progress beyond the level we are at today. Maybe even to stay at the level we are at today.
