I would agree with Gene's earlier response to a $5.00 increase for membership dues that is a good $ percentage of increase for most people to be able to handle. As far as the registration a $15 or $20 registration fee, that could work also. Most conventions I have attended do charge a fee, so $15 or $20 is not unreasonable, but we have to draw the line at always charging a fee for club events.

Also some of us belong to other chapters and pay a membership fee there too.

I agree with Steve, we got there 15 minutes earlier for the reception, couldn't find a seat, there weren't any finger foods left, and we had to pay for our soft drinks as those were all gone too. So I guess there were a lot of hungry and thirsty people there before us.
