You seem to think that everyone in the thread is beating up on the seller.
You think that "everyone" is "rooting" for the seller to "lose" because of
ignorance in value when he/she should have known better...

You made the comment that if the seller was a neighbor, friend, relative
"we" would feel differently....

So that's why I asked....the fact is, your ivory seller made a mistake...
..if someone had contacted him and said, "You misspelled the word ivory.
Did you know that you can get a lot more money for your chips from ivory
collectors if they knew the auction existed?" and if the seller had
contacted you saying that he/she would like to end the auction early
so that he could re-word it and get more money....you would have been
p*ssed off about it! Because you FOUND it like it was and bid...
