Ending an auction after it had received bids not only defeats the purpose of an auction, it also takes away from the auction house their potential percentage of a much larger "official" winning bid when bids have been placed and there is no reserve. This seller was wrong when he wrote Pete trying to end the auction. It wasn't being done as a courtesy.
