I just finally got a chance to read about the Thunderbird chips.
I heard at the show on Friday about this problem. Luckily my partners
and I decided to wholesale out these chips to Nevada Mint, which is
Steve Cutler, Rich Burgell, & Rene Nezhoda. I want to clarify the number
found of which Josh is correct on & Rene still needs to take a math class.
There were over 600, something around 615 to 620. Many were very used &
maybe a few boxes held a few more than the 100 which originally came
in these original BC Wills Co. boxes! Their price of $25 ea. is more than
fair & Rene says they did great at the show,(It must of been those flyers he posted in all the mens room stalls!) so it worked out for all of
us, at least if we don't get taken by the likes of Dean Clark (Who is
not on the top of my list to do business with. It's a pain looking at
chips on ebay that this guy puts up as he has this idea that every thing
he has is RARE! I have also had complaints from a few of my collector friends.)
We also found exactly 20 of the Thunderbird $25's. I will place a notice about these soon as we are selling them reasonable for as rare as they are.
They of course weren't used as much & are in much nicer condition.
This is a super find & one that I did make through an ad in a magazine
that I and 3 other partners ran.
We also purchased some named chips O'Neal in black with 2 orange
& a gray with 2 red.
Another group included was a red, hub mold written twice to make a cross
HCP & little triangle like designs. Any info????
OK got all that cleared up!
