I've never seen this happen since I've been playing
the game....and I was introduced to the game in
1962, but I have had the croupier alert me that I
failed to place my 0-2 split (American wheel) when
my eyes left the layout. I don't enjoy the French
game, as it's too slow. Several of the larger, well
known European houses are pulling the tables out to
replace them with the American wheel. I doubt that
Paris will keep the game too much longer, also.
What was the most amount of players you've seen at
the table at one time? I've seen the game played
with as many as 13-players (French) and no problem
with who placed what chip where....and as many as
two back-up colors added to an 8-color game (at
Lucaya) with green also in play.
I usually carry the 250,000 Oostende plaque with me
when I'm in the islands, as most of the croupiers
from the UK are familiar with the house. They, too,
are blown away when I drop it asking for change. I
just tell them I forgot to cash it in during my last
session. <g>
