Ed Koch used to cover my poker tournaments and knew I was a chip collector.
He called me and asked what all this chip business was about. He had already heard about the convention. I kind of gently pushed him into a little blurp for Thursdays paper and gave him what, where, and who to talk to, for the story afterward.
