Be sure and read the thread above by Paul Sax. He too was rather shocked by your answer, I believe. It may have been a communication problem, perhaps I didn't ask my question clearly. I agree neither of us had read the exact wording of the Ebay auction descriptions since we weren't online during the convention. But where I thought we disagreed was whether a seller could just post a scan of the chip in question and identify it and say nothing else, leaving it to the seller to judge the value, possibly by looking at it's very high catalog value. I feel the seller has an obligation to disclose the new information that had become available about the chip (if the seller knew it) and my hearing of your answer was you didn't think the seller had that ethical obligation.
