... I'm afraid. My father-in-law died this evening about 7:30. I had told a few people privately that because he seemed to be improving, that I might be able to make it to the convention for a day or two after all. Now, that will obviously not be possible.

Sorry to be missing everyone and thanks to John Yee, Gene Trimble and Travis Lewin, each of whom agreed to fill in for me on one of my obligations at the convention.
