How do any of the suggested guidelines keep you from clicking on any post???

The whole purpose is to provide information so that people who don't want to read non chip related posts can easily pass them by.

Are you against the EOMs that are currently being used? They have influenced some chippers not to click on those posts. Of course the fact that there is nothing in the post is also a factor.

Adding an "OT" or "NC" merely provides information as to the subject matter of the post.
