I'm interested in visiting a nice Blues/Jazz club in Las Vegas during the Convention.

NONE of that new-fangled Kenny G. / Wynton Marselius (sp?) stuff... No young White guys from Austin who "USED to play backup guitar with Stevie Ray Vaughn".

I'm looking for the ___REAL___ thing.... I want funky, overweight, old Black guys in cheap suits with poor eyesight that have LIVED the Blues and sweat and grimace when they play! I want a place where you have to ASK if you want to get a glass for your beer. I want to hear songs about ex-girlfriends who set fire to the guy's only suit in the middle of his front yard when she moved out. I want to hear a guy sing about his missing Mojo and the woman who stole it from him.

Have I made myself clear? NO wanna-bes!!!

A friend said he thought there used to be one Downtown near Fitzgerald's; is it still there?

Any help from the Las Vegas locals on this???
