You are correct... They are rather touchy about such things!

But I love the differences in the "English" language. Back in the mid-80's we were in London I was looking for some of the Rupert the Bear toys for my kids. After about the 4th department store I realized why the clerks were looking at me like I was 'goofy'! I was going to the clerk in the toy department and asking where they kept the "Stuffed Animals".

A local friend then told me the slang translation for "Stuffed". I then began asking for "Plush Animals". <<gg>>
