Now for the bad news (for Texans) that are drag racing fans (could be good news if you need an excuse to go to Vegas). The latest rumor (from very reliable sources) is, Billy Meyer will lose the fall event at the Motorplex in Dallas. The inaugural event in Vegas this year was what used to be one of two Houston events. Vegas will get a second event next year, replacing the fall Dallas event on the NHRA schedule.

You did need an excuse to go to Vegas didn't you? :-)
