I hate to mention the "C" word but Circus_Circus has rooms available at an internet rate of $39 weekdays and $89 weekends. The high rise towers might be $10 more but I think that it is a much nicer place than the others Don mentioned (except maybe Barbary Coast). Casino Players magazine also has a coupon good for a free second weekday night at circus. IF the honor the coupon at the internet rate you could stay two nights for $39 at a decent hotel on the strip.
