Since I'm the one that started this discussion, I'll respond to your post Michael.
First, a bit of background. Many of us who participate in this discussion board have pointed out sales on Ebay that are inaccurately labeled as "rare." It has been an ongoing off-and-on topic of discussion for months. So you are not the first, nor will you be the last, to have your auction of a "rare" chip discussed in this public forum.
Secondly, my use of the word "suckered" was in reference to the word "rare." I was wondering if the person in question had bid because they thought they were getting a truly rare chip. If I had bid on your auction, thinking I was getting a good deal on a "rare" chip and later discovered the chip was both common and available from more than one source for less than a third what I'd paid for it, I would feel "suckered."
Finally, I think it's great you're bringing new collectors into the hobby. I hope you're letting them know of the CCGTCC. If you have just discovered this board, I hope you will continue to visit it. Even though this may not have been the best way to have been introduced to this board, you'll find it is a great source of information on chips.
