No. That time didn't include printing. The printing time would be a function of the computer and the printer.

What port is your scanner hooked up to? If you say "parallel port" then I know why it is slow.

I've had my scanner for a few years now, long before they became as inexpensive as they are now. It is an HP ScanJet 3c and I paid around $1,000 for it. I think the current model of this scanner sells for around $400 but don't know for sure.
