"I had forgotten the vile and cruel treatment that JANICE O'NEAL endured a year ago on this board over the COTY!!!"
A disagreement about what side of a chip that was presented on the ballot sent to voters for the COTY. Vile and cruel treatment of Janice? NO. Public disagreements and arguments? YES. End result: both sides of all nominated chips and tokens (if they are different) are now on the ballot.
"We all read through days and days of personal assaults on her... all perpetrated by the same person who led the assault on Archie last year."
Another disagreement on who should able to vote on COTY. Vile and cruel treatment of Archie? NO. Public disagreements and arguments? YES. End result: A ballot would be sent to anyone who sent Archie a SASE.
"And WHERE were your concerns when ARCHIE, JANICE, and RENE were are the RECEIVING END of the one-sided 'floggings'???? HUH?!?!?!?"
With the COTY issues, and Archie and Janice were concerned, I was on the side of making changes. As far as Rene goes, the kid threatened to start a separate convention on his own at the Tropicana at the same time as our convention, to compete with our convention because he couldn't buy a table at ours after the deadline passed. When he backed off that idea, the "flogging" stopped.
"You asked how long a 'public flogging' should go on? My answer.... until an apology is given to ALL concerned AND the behavior permanently STOPS."
I've seen schoolyard bullies try to beat an apology out of other kids. The kid might have owed the bully an apology, but beating it out of him isn't how to obtain it. You have placed yourself in the position of being the bully by continuing this assault. JMHO
