Or so says the front page headline of The Chicago Tribune's report on July 1st, as it announced the Illinois Gaming Board voted to stop Jack Binion from expanding operations in Illinois with a new casino to be located in a Chicago suburb. Riverboat chippers may remember that Horseshoe Gaming, LLC bought the EMPRESS casinos in Joliet (IL) and Hammond (IN) last year for $629 million. Binion can appeal the Board's decision.
