Tim: I pay something like $35 (I'll have to check it) for my "art" collection rider. Allstate will cover your collection. Your agent doesn't know what he is talking about. However, see my post. Allstate wasn't very happy with my insurance. I was once local counsel for them and have been with Allstate since 1958 w/o a major claim. Maybe they did it for me but don't want the business. Try an independent agent. Also about a year or so ago, someone posted the name of a company that would insure the collection.
