...and they do get confused! Lee and Carolyn decided to play some of the Riviera GO chips they had bought for sales stock when they became available, when they decided to reduce their sales stock about a month after the GO chips were released. The BJ dealers stopped the game, asked them what the chips were, had to have the pit verify that they were real chips!
I've had the same thing (sorta) happen when using Paris Las Vegas jetons to buy into other games in that casino. The dealer will tell me that the jetons are only good for roulette. Even pointing out that there is a face value on the jeton doesn't work, they need to verify it with the pit.
