Hi Steve,
The only closed Colorado casino that there is real concern about some of the original chip stock being reintrodued into the market that I'm aware of is Lilly Belle's. The building is currently under contract, and a gaming license has been applied for. I do know that the chips from the former casino remain in the vault. I think they could resubmit the design to gaming for approval to use in a new incarnation.
We've been fighting for gaming regs that help to protect our hobby, even have two gaming enforcement officers as chapter members. Too many people don't understand collecting....just ask Lee Bruton. He went before the monthly meeting of the Gaming Commission a couple years ago to protest the inflated GO set issued by the Lodge. One Commission member thought that the sample collection he brought with him to demonstrate that poeple collect chips should have been confiscated then and there because he shouldn't be able to legally remove them from the casino! Sheesh!!!
