Very good question, Tyrus. They weren't "limited" to a production quantity to the standards of the current norm (whatever the heck that means)...nor marketed as such. I don't know of any American Bicentennial having the words "Limited" or "LTD" on them. I could be wrong, though I think I answered your question in general as far as them being "LE" chips. I would like to see all "LE" chips have a quantity produced depicted on the chip. I think the problem is understanding what's "LE" and what "Commmemorative" (or both) on the same chip. I would say the Bicentennial chips are Commemoratibe chips. BTW, The 4th of July is about to reach us...a day where all the Queens troops around the world pull double KP.
