An interesting point: the design on this chip, although matching the one in Dale's book in the collector section, does not match the design in the old Suydam 1880 catalog as I originally thought. The Suydam chip did not have a border, and the lettering was K.S.H.T.W.2.2.T. The lettering on your chip is K.S.H.T.W.S.S.T.

Note the S being replaced by the reversed symbol (I guess it's a 2). Possibly the image in the old catalog was just a sketch and didn't represent the chip they actually made?
