I'm not a buffet person; indeed the last time I ate in a buffet was when a huge storm kept the family inside Harrahs. If you want to spend a bundle but have a really great meal, my friend and I recommend Michaels in The Barbery Coast. I've eaten great steaks including the after midnight special at the Horseshoe and at a lot of overpriced joints including the Steakhouse at Harrahs. The dealers touted us to the Gold Coast Steakhouse and we've eaten there several times; absolutely super meat at fair prices. However, I've never had a bad steak at a Ruth Chris place and have had one very good meal there. By accident, my friend and I a couple of years ago found ourselves hungry at a late hour in the Stardust and their best restaurant was still open; we agreed that it was our best meal at a place no one had recommended since coming to Vegas.
