I stayed at the Golden Gate about 3 years ago when I couldn't get a room elsewhere for the Bottle Show at the Union Plaza. I'm pretty sure they had the old style 'skeleton key' for the room door. Can't say for sure, but it would match the age of the rest of the hotel furnishings. Haven't seen exposed plumbing in the bath like that for many years <g>.
