Hi Steve and Archie,

I hesitate to post this because I like you both a lot and agree
with both of you most of the time....(okay, deep breath...)

Steve, let me see if I can put Archie's AC list example a different way...
..suppose I buy AC LEs...but I'm a busy person and don't really have
time to "shop around"....and I don't mind paying extra for the chips
I buy from Archie (if that's the case)..because to me, time is money
and I know Archie will ALWAYS have my chips for me...now lets say that
I tell Archie, "...and could you keep my buying between you and me? I
know there are others out there that also sell AC LEs...and I have
traded with them in the past (or whatever)...but I prefer to buy
from you and don't want there to be any hard feeling between me and
so-and-so..." So it may not be that Archie is trying to hoard the AC
buyers...it may be the request of those buyers to remain anonymous.

Ebay is a different story...if the auction is public, I am opening
myself to anyone who views that auction....when I bid on a public
auction, I'm telling the world, "Here is my email address...write me!"
...not in those words, but you know what I mean...

Okay, now it's Archie's turn.....Archie, what Steve is feeling is
betrayal (I think) by other chip sellers....we have all posted about
what a great group chippers are...they're honest...blah, blah, blah...
For another chip seller to contact Steve's bidders, makes Steve feel
like they are purposefully sitting back and laughing about the money
they save by not listing on ebay because they know that Steve will sooner
or later put that chip up for sale. Ebay bidders don't belong to anyone
but Steve would like a fair chance to sell any extras that he has to his
bidders first....I think he just feels "let down" by the chippers who
are contacting his bidders....

Okay, I'm done....I know I spoke for both of you and I'm sorry if I
misrepresented your thoughts and feelings on the matter...they were
just my preception of your thoughts....

We disagree a lot here on the board....Bob Orme and I butt heads all
the time over roulette harvesting...but we're, apparently, engaged
now!! <G>
